Education Ministry

The option for the empowerment of women, poor and creation is actualized through our education ministry. We keep in mind the integral development of children and youth- the future pillars of the society. Empowerment of the children and environment is vital. Hence we promote a civilization of love through our educational ministry.

Origin of education ministry:

On 16^th Feb. 1892, Bishop Alexis Ricaz requested Mother Marie Gertrude to take up the vernacular school run by the sisters of St. Joseph of Chamberi. “I hope that this school will, in addition to all the means you have already, enable you to get in touch with the women”. (Bishop Ricaaz)

Mother Marie Gertrude with her companions ventured into this new ministry. The seed sown by her has grown as a mighty tree sheltering and nurturing thousands of young girls in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Punjab.

• We promote integration and harmony with God, others and creation in a multi-cultural, multi- religious and multi-lingual society
• We enable students to live a life of ‘self-giving’ and unity in their families and neighborhood thereby experiencing the benevolent love of God
• We give awareness to students regarding basic human rights, children’s rights, women’s rights and environmental rights thereby promote a just society
•  In the admission policy, we give preference to students coming from weaker section of the society.
